چکیده

A dual-flow continuous culture system was used to evaluate the effects of laidlomycin propionate and bacitracin zinc on fermentation, nutrient digestibility, microbial efficiency. Factors were (LP; 2 mg/L volume) (BAC; 1.4 mg/L), treatments as follows: (1) no BAC or LP (CON), (2) without (LP), (3) (BAC), (4) (LP/BAC). fifth treatment supplemented with monensin sodium (MON; 6 mg/L) act a positive control. Both LP/BAC had significantly greater pH than MON (P < 0.05). Antibiotic did not affect NH 3-N concentration = 0.62), but influence total VFA production 0.02). Monensin fermenters proportion 0.05), improved by 7.2% compared CON. Laidlomycin suppressed both acetate 0.01) butyrate further reduced when fed in combination 0.01). numerically acetate:propionate ratio 0.12). These results suggest that may produce ionophore-like vitro.

Effects of urea infusion and ruminal degradable protein concentration on microbial growth, digestibility, and fermentation in continuous culture.

The effects of urea and rumen-degradable protein (RDP) on microbial growth, digestibility, and fermentation were examined using dual-flow continuous culture. The experimental design was a 4 x 4 Latin square with a 2 x 2 factorial arrangement of treatments. Factors were urea infusion (0.4 g/L of artificial saliva) and RDP concentration, and the treatments were as follows: 1) low RDP (8% of dieta...

The Effect of Soybean Meal Heating Time on the in vitro Digestibility and Ruminal Fermentation Profile

The aim of this study was to determine the most optimal heating time in protection of protein rich feedstuff on digestibility and in vitro ruminal fermentation profile. Proteinous feedstuffs used in this study is soybean meal (Glycine max). This study is designed using one way ANOVA, with five treatments of heating time (T0 (control)= unheated, T1= 10 min, T2= 20 min, T3= 30 m...

Effect of Aflatoxin B1 on In Vitro Digestibility and Ruminal Fermentation of Sheep Diet

The aim of this study was to investigate the effect of different levels of aflatoxin on the gas production, in vitro fermentation parameters, dry matter and organic matter digestibility of sheep's diet. This experiment was conducted in a completely randomized design with 5 treatments and 4 replicate per treatment. The treatments included 1.diet without aflatoxin and methanol (control), 2.c...

Effect of supplemental niacin or niacinamide and soybean source on ruminal bacterial fermentation in continuous culture.

Effects of niacin or niacinamide in diets containing either soybean meal, raw whole soybeans or whole soybeans extruded at 132 and 149 C on ruminal bacterial fermentation were examined with a dual-flow continuous culture system. In Exp. 1, soybean sources each provided 50% of total crude protein in diets comprised of 52% concentrate mix, 36% corn silage and 12% alfalfa hay (dry-matter basis). E...

Effects of Thyme Essential Oil and Disodium Fumarate on Ruminal Fermentation Characteristics, Microbial Population and Nutrient Flow in a Dual Flow Continuous Culture System

The aim of the present study was to investigate the effects of di-sodium fumarate (DSF) and thyme essential oil (TEO) solely and simultaneously on ruminal fermentation properties and microbial abundance. A dual-flow continuous culture system (DFCC) with eight 1400-mL fermenters was used in a period of 12 d that divided to 9 d for adaptation and 3 d for sampling. Fermenters were fed 100 g d...
